Factlet is a brief interesting fact-

Wagon wheel ruts left by wagons hauling ore from the Silver King Mine.

The wagons were so heavy and made so many trips they cut ruts in solid rock.

Tidbit About Our Founder

"I met an friend from Vermont here in Tucson and he asked about the Burlington Gem and Mineral Club in Burlington, Vermont. Someone from the club had called him to see if he knew about the start of the club 50 years ago this year and a guy named Ray Grant who started it. He told them he knew Ray Grant and the comment was “he’s still alive?”. I started that club in 1965 when I had my first job at the University of Vermont, and 50 years later I’m still alive and doing it again." Ray Grant (February 2015)
